Beginning & Intermediate Classes

Tiny Toes

Ages 3 - 5

Do you have ten tiny toes in your household? If so, this is the perfect class for them! Our Tiny Toes class incorporates their first stretches and steps to a mix of music, stories and games. Children learn movement, coordination and rhythm in an atmosphere that is playful, creative and encouraging.

Aerial 1/2

3 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12 | Ages 13+

Aerial 1/2 focuses on the basics of aerial. All students will climb, swing, spin and learn some tricks! The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and intermediate students to build upon their existing skills. This class will facilitate a new understanding of balance and center, with the opportunity to explore both trapeze and silks in a fun and encouraging environment.

Ballet 1/2

3 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12 | Ages 13+

Ballet 1/2 focuses on developing and maintaining flexibility, turn out, strength, proper alignment and a sense of center in the body that is the critical foundation for all other forms of dance. The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and returning students to build upon their existing training. Students are taught in an atmosphere that is creative, supportive, friendly and encouraging.

Contemporary 1/2

3 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12 | Ages 13+

This contemporary class will cover a combination of modern and contemporary techniques. Students will learn how to release into the floor, while pushing against it for stability. They will play with inversions, work on head- to- tail connectivity, and increase strength and flexibility. Throughout the entire class, students will be working on full body awareness. The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and returning students to build upon their existing training. Consistency is key to advancement and enrollment is highly advised.

Hip Hop 1/2

3 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12 | Ages 13+

Foundational Hip Hop styles will be introduced through the practice of articulate movement, musicality and rhythm awareness, and the development of your own unique movement. The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and returning students to build upon their existing training.

Pointe 1/2

Ages 12+

Learn the basics of Ballet pointe work in this beginning level class. This class is designed for students with ballet technique of Ballet 3 or higher. Through repetitive barre exercises, dancers will develop the ankle strength and stability that is required for pointe work. This class is also appropriate for the skilled ballet dancer who is looking to maintain strength on pointe.

Multi-Discipline Dance

2 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12

Can’t decide which class to take? In this class, you can take them all! Throughout the term, students will learn a variety of dance styles, including contemporary, ballet, tap, aerial, and hip hop. The curriculum for this class allows beginners to start where they are and returning students to build upon their existing training. Students are taught in an atmosphere that is creative, supportive, friendly and encouraging.

Tap 1/2

3 Classes: Ages 5-8 | Ages 8-12 | Ages 13+

Tap 1/2 focuses on developing simple rhythms, building coordination, and having fun! Each class will include an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and practice combinations. Students will explore the fundamental steps of tap dance, learn tap terminology and focus on clarity of sounds and musicality.

Intermediate & Advanced Classes

Aerial 3

Ages 12+

Explore vertical space and broaden your aerial vocabulary while building stamina in the air. Students will increase their strength and explore sequencing and transitions on silks and trapeze while evolving their aerial skills into aerial dancing!

Aerial 4

Ages 12+

Explore vertical space and broaden your aerial vocabulary while building stamina in the air. Students will increase their strength and explore sequencing and transitions on silks and trapeze while evolving their aerial skills into aerial dancing!

Advanced Aerial Dance

Ages 12+

This class emphasizes the artistry of dance using aerial apparatus as a choreographic tool. Instead of focusing on high tricks, students will explore how the aerial apparatus opens up new opportunities to contemporary movement and techniques they are already familiar with, adding advanced elements of flight, spins, and inversions. A significant portion of the class will focus on choreography and composition.

Acro Dance 3/4

Ages 12+

Designed for dancers looking to build their vocabulary upside down, right side up, sideways and with a partner, this class will involve a dance/yoga warm up followed by inversion skills, contemporary dance “tricks”, and partnering work.

Ballet 3/4

Ages 12+

Students will further refine and develop their ballet technique with more advanced combinations and higher expectations on maintaining and applying new corrections daily, while realizing their personal artistry as a dancer.

Pointe 3/4

Ages 12+

Designed for the advanced ballet dancer who is looking to maintain strength on pointe, this class offers students the opportunity to further refine and develop their pointe technique with more advanced combinations and higher expectations on maintaining and applying new corrections while realizing their personal artistry as a dancer.

Contemporary 3

Providing dancers with a grounded center from which to work as they explore a dynamic range of contemporary movement qualities, this class encourages dancers to take risks and to push themselves further every day while developing new tools for their dance training and self-expression.

Contemporary 4

Ages 12+

Providing dancers with a grounded center from which to work as they explore a dynamic range of contemporary movement qualities, this class encourages dancers to take risks and to push themselves further every day while developing new tools for their dance training and self-expression.

Contemporary Release Technique

Ages 15+

The focus of this class is to improve full body awareness using the whole body and space while learning what/when to release or engage. There is a strong emphasis on grounded, big, dense but fluid movement using and shifting our center of gravity. Students will work on smooth transitions from different height levels to the floor, avoiding injury. This class underlines a strong sense of musicality; it encourages dancers to take risks and push themselves further every day while developing new tools for their dance training and self-expression.

Hip Hop 3

Ages 12+

Providing on-going foundations in hip hop styles, students will work the body articulately and integrate musicality and rhythm awareness into choreography, spatial acuity, and the development of their own movement.

Tap 3/4

Ages 12+

Devoted to exercises that build coordination, speed of movement and complex rhythms, this class emphasizes developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun! Students are challenged through improvisational exercises, intricate rhythms and complex footwork.

Adult / All Levels

Adult Aerial

Ages 16+ | Adult

Whether you are new to aerial or have experience, you will receive individualized attention and progress at your own pace from beginner through advanced aerial vocabulary. Suitable for all body types and abilities, this class will increase your flexibility, balance, strength and creativity. Perfect for anyone wanting to get his or her feet off the ground!

Adult Ballet

Adult Contemporary

Ages 16+ | Adult

Treat yourself to this dynamic adult dance class that blends contemporary, jazz and ballet disciplines. This class is suitable to both the participant who has never danced and the trained dancer who enjoys an energy-filled workout.

Adult Hip Hop

Ages 16+ | Adult

This adult class focuses on breathing, stretching, strengthening and grooving to funky music that incorporates isolations, choreography and a blend of yummy, creative movement (incorporating elements from both hip hop and contemporary dance forms) in a safe and fun atmosphere for those who want to let loose and get down.

All Access

Ages 16+ | Adult

Our All Access Program is dedicated to the movement and artistic potential of each individual despite physical or mental challenges. Our All Access program opens doors to individuals in our community with altered-abilities and embraces the freedom to explore, express, and create without judgment or comparison. Students in wheelchairs are welcome to participate. Caregivers are welcome to attend class and watch or participate in whatever capacity feels appropriate. Pilates

Ages 18+

This one hour group mat class teaches the fundamentals of Pilates movement, with a focus on body awareness, strength, endurance, and flexibility. You’ll learn about proper form and alignment to help improve posture and increase stability and balance of the musculoskeletal system.

Senior Dance

Adult | Senior

Perfect for the senior, but open to all adults! Enjoy a fun hour of full body movement blending dance technique, balance training and core conditioning designed for the more mature body. Multiple movement level options will be advised. Join us for Senior Dance!

Yoga

Adult

This multi-level class incorporates a series of postures designed to strengthen and stretch, utilizing breath and relaxation techniques to calm, sooth and revitalize your body and mind.
