We’re starting off the season by bringing back some of our most memorable and nostalgic works. Reclaimed is a retrospective of Artistic Director, Robert Guitron’s choreography, demonstrating his developing styles, his explorations in movement, and his eclectic experiments with various flavors of dance over time. The show will include pieces from Too Blue (2004), Repo (2010), Lil’ Mo (2011), Tangled (2012), and Word (2014). Reclaimed brings together an assortment of genres and pushes the Polaris Dance Company to execute nuances in discipline and technique. Styles include classic with Horton undertone, Limón, Cunningham, with touches of Fosse, Giordano, and African dance.
