The Polaris Junior Company (JCo) was established in 2011 as a pre-professional company for youth ages 13 – 18. The program is designed to offer young, talented dancers a chance to grow their skills and experience the demands of rehearsing and performing in a professional environment. This is a tuition-based training program, with limited scholarships available upon application and approval. Auditions are required, see below for details.
Performance opportunities for all JCo dancers include:
- Winter Student Performance (Dec)
- Groovin’ Greenhouse during the Fertile Ground Festival of the Arts (Jan)
- Spring Student Performance (May)
- JCo Performance (May)
- Galaxy Dance Festival (Aug)
- and other unique opportunities that present themselves during the year
Principal Dancers
REQUIRED CLASSES
2 Contemporary, 1 Ballet, 1 Hip Hop, 1 Tap, 3 rehearsals (8 classes per week).
FEES
$3,200 (covers all costs, including classes, rehearsals, tech and dress rehearsals, all performance fees, additional opportunities such as photo-shoots, and provides JCo members full access to Polaris class schedule.
CORE DANCERS
REQUIRED CLASSES
1 Contemporary, 1 Ballet, 1 Hip Hop, 1 Tap, 2 rehearsals (6 classes per week).
FEES
$2,700 (covers all costs, including classes, rehearsals, tech and dress rehearsals, all performance fees, additional opportunities such as photo-shoots, and provides JCo members full access to Polaris class schedule.

1 Contemporary, 1 Ballet, 1 Tap, 2 rehearsals (5 classes per week).
