Polaris Dance Company Apprentice
Trung “Daniel” Do is a growing artist immersed in the field of dance. He received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree in Modern Dance from the University of Utah on a 4-year artistic merit scholarship. During his time there he has had the pleasure to work and collaborate with notable choreographers including Shaun Boyle, Juan Carlos Claudio, Molly Heller, Satu Hummasti, Stephen Koester, Sharee Lane, and Lesley Telford. He has been selected as a supplemental dancer with professional companies: Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Daniel Charon and Repertory Dance Theatre, under the artistic direction of Linda Smith. Additionally, he is a member of Cat + Fish Dances, a project-based dance company under the direction of Cat Kamrath. As a performer, Daniel has been a part of various creative processes that have been invited to be seen at multiple dance festivals: The American College Dance Association, Breaking Ground: Dance and Film Festival, Fringe Festival, and Women in Dance Leadership Conference. He continued his training over the 2016 summer among other lucrative students to participate in a Cultural Dance-Exchange at the Staatliche Balletschule Berlin (Berlin State School for Ballet) under the direction of Gregor Seyffert and Olaf Hofer. This will be Daniel’s first season with Polaris Dance Theatre, and he is humbled and thrilled to work with such wonderful artists.
